Drone Pilot Academy

This camp will provide students an opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, and math related projects. Camp curriculum will focus on operating drones. Through intensive classroom instruction, hands-on learning, lab activities, field work, and field trips, participants will engage with concepts and skills related to careers in drone piloting within the following industry clusters: Advanced Technologies and Manufacturing, Aerospace and Defense, Biotechnology and Life Sciences (including healthcare), Energy, Information and Computer Technology and Petroleum Refining, and Chemical Products. Students will pilot drones through a variety of scenarios to gain familiarity with their operation and control and will be prepared to pursue FAA 107 licensure in the future.
